At The Devil Wears Parsley Bakery, we believe in absolutely delicious treats. Life is too short to waste calories on dry cake! Our cupcakes are made with no dairy / eggs / or animal products, and are perfectly moist and fluffy. In a world of bad cupcakes, we set our bar high, turning people into cupcake lovers one cupcake at a time.

At DWP Bakery, every ingredient is chosen with intention—flavor, quality, ethics, and nutrition guide every decision.
Sugar
I never use white refined sugar, as its processing often involves bone char. Instead, I source organic cane sugar, which is simply the juice of sugar cane, dried and crystallized, giving it a warm golden hue. Supporting sustainable, U.S.-based suppliers is also a priority, which is why I choose Florida Crystals—a company growing organic, non-GMO cane sugar right here in Florida.
In the past, I used Kirkland Organic Sugar from Costco, but after researching its origins, I found that it comes from Paraguay. While it’s a fine product, I prefer to invest in US -grown ingredients whenever possible, making Florida Crystals the clear choice.
Flour
Finding high-quality organic pastry flour was no small feat, but I was determined. Organic wheat matters to me because it ensures that harmful pesticides like glyphosate (RoundUp) don’t make their way into the final product.
I source my organic whole wheat, non-GMO, kosher, unbleached pastry flour from Azure Standard. Milled using the rare Unifine mill (only four exist in the U.S.), this flour retains more natural nutrients than conventional milling methods, offering more fiber, potassium, and magnesium. Because it’s whole wheat, my cakes have a naturally golden hue—proving that indulgence and nutrition can coexist beautifully.
Sunflower Oil & Apple Cider Vinegar
Great baking starts with great fat, and Susquehanna Mills Sunflower Oil is my go-to. Pressed just hours away in Muncy, Pennsylvania, this golden oil smells like fresh sunflower seeds and lends a rich, clean flavor to my cakes.
Susquehanna Mills also produces Apple Cider Vinegar, which I now use exclusively. It plays a crucial role in my cupcakes, enhancing tenderness and working as a natural leavening agent to create the perfect texture.
The "V" Word
Look, we know sometimes the "v" (vegan) word is a turn-off for people. Time and again, people comment that they can't believe our cupcakes are vegan. It's proof that no eggs or milk are needed to create these delicious delicacies. Our cupcakes and other sweet treats will always be vegan. Better for you, better for the animals, and better for the planet!

Causes We Support
With the Supreme Court Ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, DWP Bakery has decided to support the Baltimore Abortion Fund by selling our Dissent cupcakes. All of the proceeds from the sale of this pack will be donated to help support the local community with getting the care that they need. As of November 2022, we have donated $191.49 to this cause!
